The Elevator is Fixed!!!

Normally little things like this don’t amuse me enough to post them here….wait….yeah they do!  Anyway, it took them 2 weeks to fix the elevator and now its finally working.  It was kinda weird to see the doors open again.  To avoid sounding too weird I’ll stop talking about the elevator.

Today was a rather gloomy day.  A lot cooler than yesterday was a rainy.  Only had one class today and that turned out to be rather interesting.  We are going to be discussing lies and lie detection on Thursday so our prof decided to try a little like detection in class.  He placed a 10 dollar bill into a book and asked a volunteer to step out of the room with the book.  They could either take the 10 or leave it.  When they returned they had to tell him that they left the money in the book regardless of whether they did or not.  Based on his guess and the final outcome the person could get 0, 1, or 10 dollars out of the deal.  Well, he guessed that she left it in the book and it turned out that she really kept it.  She won the 10 bucks.  Not to be 100% wrong he decided to try again.  This time he guessed that the person left the money and was right.  She got a dollar for being honest.

Other than that nothing big happened today, kinda boring actually.  Tomorrow is March 31.  Not only does that mean April is coming but it also means that the L33t Pwnrs have a double header.  We will be playing at 6:50 and 7:45 if anyone is interested in going.  We hope to bump our record up from 4-0 to 6-0!  That’s all for now!

“I’m out! I’m out!’

Today Jake and I went to the Chilli Paintball Pits to shoot some people! My cousin mentioned that she wanted to take her boyfriend so I just asked her if we could tag along. Compared to last time I did 1000x better. Not only was I hitting people left and right but I used a ton less paint than last time. It was a while before I got my first hit. I snuck up on a fort and watched one of my opponants run right by. Just as I was getting a few shots off on him Dale, crazy paintball every weekend Dale, comes from around the corner and nails me. I almost had the chance at taking out the 2 best guys out there. Oh well, the fun continued when we worked our way towards a bunker he was in later in the game. Jake scared the shit out of some little kid when he unknowingly snuck up behind him. I thought for sure Jake was dead. But then we nailed Dale, grabbed the flag and ran back to base. Good times were had by all! Anyway, that was my day. I may post later. Emphasis on MAY, I dont want to be called a liar again!

Sorry Sorry Sorry

So Spring Break really ruined me of my LJ habits. I had originally planned on a massive spring break update but as you can tell that never happened. So, I feel as if I should just focus on the present and not got back and do updates for over 2 weeks. So, here we go….

Yesterday we played our 4th soccer game of the season and boy was it a fun one! I started off the night trying to “bicycle kick” a ball that had bounced out of control and somehow landed flat on my back. I dont know how it happened but apparently both of my feet managed to come off the ground when really I had only intended to lift one. It made for a humorous spectacle. Right off the bat their goaly was getting testy and ended up shoving Pauly out of his way for no reason. Apparently the triple header wasnt working well for them. Before the end of the first half their goaly also managed to score on an open goal. Normally this would be horrible defense, and it was. But it was on his own goal so it was all good for us. For most of the game we managed to stick with Rossi like flies on shit because any team he is only gives him the ball all the time. Anyway, 2 cards and a penalty shot later we managed to win the game 6-5. We are now officially 4-0! I have to get to class though so I will finish this update around midnight or so. I PROMISE!

Updates Galore!

Where to start…how about Thursday…..here we go!

Thursday was an easy test day only had to go take the Psych110 test. Neil and I studied for about half an hour and then decided it wouldn’t be too bad. It was a fun walk there, it was raining cats and dogs and we were soaked by the time we got there. Luckily Amy’s umbrella managed to keep my right arm dry! The test, as we had already guessed, wasn’t really that bad. There were confusing parts but overall, not too bad. Got out of there way early so I went back to my room to play some Pocket Tanks. Man is that game addictive! Shortly after that I was off to Calc 2 to learn some more wonderful calculus shit. Oh how I hate that class! After class it was time to monkey around with my calculator to make sure I knew how to do some calculations for the Lab exam. I guess I lied about only having one test! oops! Anyway, walked in there and purged some information on gels, chemicals, and statistics and then got the hell out and headed home for some grub. Even though I had a Bio test the next day that was supposed to be more difficult than the last I still wanted to play some soccer at parkside. Jake and Neil, however, disagreed and we all stayed home and looked over the Bio notes. Normally a test wouldn’t really affect Jake because he hates studying and rarely participates in such events, but since Neil and I kicked his ass last time on the test he was sure to study this time! Off to Friday!

Friday was a very warm day but on my way to class at 9 the wind was blowing my feet out from under me. 261 was rather boring. Just had a little review session over the Cool tools. They are rather cool, as the name implies, but, as my fellow classmates put it, the interface is rather “ghetto.” It’s true though, a very expensive program such as Cool should look a lot cooler than it does! We kept ourselves amused in class by shocking ourselves with my pen. No one dared hand it to Bev though. Oh well, next up was the Bio test, the only stuff floating around my mind was NADPH, krebs, calvin, chlorophyll (”more like borophyll!”) and everything else that goes along with respiration and photosynthesis. I won’t bore you with that stuff though but I will continue to ramble on because I’m not quite up to date yet! So I finished the test in 20 minutes feeling very confident about it. After lunch I went to my politics class knowing all to well that Bradley would be up to no good the day before spring break. Sure enough there was extra credit info and even a notecard quiz. It was rather fun sitting in class. My chair had previously been broken and kept folding down much too low. I constanlty had to pull myself up. It was a good time none the less. Finally, well, for friday anyway, was Calc 2 again. Finally got our tests back. I was dissappointed to see a low grade due to stupid minor mistakes but glad to see that I had a firm grasp on the concepts. That’s always a plus in calculus! After that I was off to pack up my shit and get the hell out of town for a week. My parents rolled in shortly after class and were nice enough to pick me up some food pyramids for the fish. They may not be able to talk but I know they’re thankful! My fish are also being tended to by the lovely . Im sure they appreciate her company as well! Thanks Karen! I packed up my clothes, all 50 or so pounds, called Mary, and then we were off. Home here I come!

Wait wait wait! We’re not done yet!!!

Friday night we were hungry so we went out for some dinner, just me and the rents. I’m pretty sure the average age at our table was the lowest in the place. It was friday night fish fry and their were plenty older people having a night on the town! After that we came home and vegged. It’s nice to be home finally!

OK, on to Saturday! The Update Train is rounding the corner into the station…Remain seated until the train has come to a full and complete stop! Don’t worry, you’ll understand the train thing in a few seconds. My first day home and I was already getting up before 9am. Breakfast time at Whistle Stop (get it now?) with the grandparents. My grandpa’s birthday was friday and we couldn’t celebrate then so we decided breakfast would work just as well. Afterwards me and the rents were off to the annual trade show at the high school. Lots of raffles and free shit so we went! My mom won a keychain from the local theatre that said “I love Tad Hamilton.” That was humerous but not quite as humerous as my dad telling the LifeSource people that they are worse than dracula. They call all the time and always want our blood. It’s been going on for a while now. Anyway, back home to take a nice nap on the couch. Later we cleaned up the house, made a cake and then my grandparents came over as well as my parents friends David and Laura came over for dinner and cake. Spaghetti cause I was finally home and cake for my grandpa. All in all not a bad deal if you ask me. After that more lounging and then off to check the email for grades. I found out that I was a measly 3 pts shy of an A in Bio and got an 84.62 in Psy110. Not bad considering both tests were supposed to be harder than the previous. My Bio test went up a full 10 pts and my Psy test only went down about 5. I’m content! The train has officially entered the station signaling the end of this rather lengthy entry. Hopefully it wasn’t too boring for yah!

Quick notice…The LiveJournal users has grown even more with the addition my future Mac loving roommate Bill (just lay off the Mac thing, i think he’s sensitive!)! I plan on hounding him to update just like the rest of em! Check out his journal .

For now though I’m off to the the comforting arms of my nice BIG bed! You never fully appreciate a big bed until you sleep on and XL Twin! Good night all!

This week sucks!

When it rains it pours! Today started off pretty decent. Although weather.com said that it was cold out it really wasn’t all that bad. ITK 261 we handed in our nice neat little diagrams and then moved on to some new stuff. Bio was pretty short as it was simply a review session for the test on friday. After that I came back here and looked over a bunch of stuff for my Calc2 test. As I was looking over it I felt more and more confident about this test. A mere two hours later, however, my optomism quickly dropped. To me, and the others I know that had to take the test, it was rather poorly written and didn’t reflect the degree to which we worked on each section of this past chapter. Anyway, the grades aren’t out yet so I won’t get too down on myself yet.

After the classes were over I started working on the BIO review guide. Neil put together the PSYCH guide so it was my job to put this one together. Not too bad but it had to get done. I worked on that for a while and then got ready for our second soccer game of this session. Had a quick dinner and then it was time to go. I got in the elevator and as we stopped on three I realized that I was missing my shin guards. I got off and ran back up to get them. Now I was ready to go. I get on the elevator again and before reaching one I realize that I had forgotten the brand new pair of shoes I had just purhcased. Back up again! NOW I was ready to go!

The game started 15 minutes late which never happens because Game Time is anal when it comes to it’s schedule. Anyway, we quickly were down by 2 and everyone was getting a little pessimistic. Enter Eric and John, the Dynamic Duo (double D’s for short) if you will. We work together fighting the evils of the opposing teams offense and removing any chance they have of scoring! Ok, I’m done with that. In the end it was an exciting 8-5 win for the L33t Pwnrs. Eric and I only let by a measly one goal the entire game. In the last 8 seconds they managed to lob the ball down the field over our heads and into the possession of what we in the biz call the “back door.” Good times were had by all though so it was very fun! Next weeks game is, well, there is no next week game! St Patty’s day is our next game. Look for us out at Game Time at 7:45.

As I tend to do I think I typed a bit too much so it’s time for me to stop. Look for more updates tomorrow! Night!

Billy Joel

OK, so it’s not who you think but my psychology 110 teacher has the same same name so it works. Anyway, as part of our review for our midterm he decided to bring in his guitar and sing for us. Imagine a middle aged psychology professor with a bright red guitar playing a song about positive/negative reinforcement/punishment. Suprisingly the song was good and he definitely knows how to play the guitar well. Good times were had by all.
