Happy Halloween!

Ah!  So the weekend went great!  Friday started off beautifully until it a tropical storm decided to roll into town.  Bill and I decided we wanted to play in the rain so we emptied our pockets and booked down the stairs.  We walked out the door and it was barely raining.  Not to come back totally dry we did run around in the puddle by the fountain.  We then returned to the Watterson.  Shortly after getting in another wave hit and again we were running downstairs.  This time the rain and wind held up and we were able to run around in it for a while.  We ended up getting soaking wet and then walking down to the McLean Country Democratic Headquarters.  On our way there we realized they were having trick or treating for kids in downtown normal and many people started giving the two of us candy just for being wet.  We then circled back and headed in.

I got back to my room and got a call from Hannah telling me to go down to the lobby as Lily was about to leave for her semi-formal.  We all stared at her all purdied up and took some random pictures as well.  It was a good time.  After she left I felt the need to take a shower because I was still soaked from running through nasty dirty puddles.  After doing that I played Mario with Bill for a while before my cousin came to pick me up.  We went back to my other cousin’s apartment where they were carving pumpkins and just chilling for a while.  Later we met up with Bill and Karen and all went to Creatures Crypt and had a fun time there.

Break time.  And by break time I mean it’s time for a Tower Tour!

I shall finish after my tour!  Wee….

Wussy

So apparently I’m a wuss.  My cousins and friends decided I didn’t do all I could and was therefor a wuss.  Fair enough I suppose but I beg to differ.

At this point I’m kind of confused.  Not that I wasn’t a little before hand but now I really don’t know what to do.  Just kind of in that situation where I don’t want to give up and think it would be stupid to do so, and at the same time I really don’t know how far I can go given the circumstances.  One moment I think I know what’s going on and then the next it’s all in the air again. Many have told me that all will work out and I do believe them but I’m just confused is all!

Sunglasses!

Yay for actually needing to wear sunglasses!  I’m excited!

I really don’t know whats wrong with me.  I didn’t get to sleep until 4am yesterday because I wasn’t tired and then I couldnt sleep past 9:30.  Odd.  Oh well.  Time to enjoy the day!

Later…again!

A Perfect Friday!

Neglecting minor details today is an AWESOME day!  Windows wide open, its 73 outside and the air smells good.  The sun was also blinding this morning which was amazing because I haven’t seen that thing in what seems like weeks.  It’s a sign I tell you!

Anyway, perfect rollerblading/soccis weather.  Which one will I do, probably both!  And then bowling with Mark, and haunted house later this evening with the cousins!

I hope everyone enjoys their beautiful Friday as much as I know I will be!  Until then I’m off to class for the afternoon and then on-call until 5.  Give me a call if you’re making plans for this weekend.  I’m out!

PS - GO OUTSIDE!  Ooh, and for once my current song is totally random and really has nothing to do with anything!  Weeeeee

Seriously though, I’m going!

Stuffus!

So today was a rather boring night.  After the classes and such I had my regular Thursday RA in-service.  Normally we get to pick a conference topic and go but this week was a little different.  Our choices were yoga, pilates, or working out in the fitness center.  I really didn’t want to go down to the fitness center, was afraid of pilates because Lily and Hannah would probably laugh at me, so instead I joined Tyson in the Rosa for some yoga.  There were about 10 of us so we turned down the lights and did some stretching and relaxation excersises.  I thought I was going to suck it up but all we did was some basic stuff and I ended up doing pretty well in my opinion.  Definetely relieved some stress and I almost fell asleep on the floor.

After yoga Bill and I went to eat.  I don’t even have to tell him where we’re going to sit.  Whenever I eat down there I have to eat near the windows overlooking North Street.  The other day I coined the term “Reverse Stalking”.  Karen kept saying that by sitting by the windows watching people that I was stalking them.  I told her that I did not follow one particular person around and just liked to watch people in general.  I then decided to call it  reverse stalking because I let the people walk in front of me.  I’m watching them because THEY walked into my field of view.  I didn’t choose for them to walk there!  Anyway, I love just people watching while eating.  It’s fun!

Well….

Yeah…

The rest of the evening can be summed up in only a few lines.  Here goes:

Chilled in my room for a while…Gathered some residents for Tunnel of Opression…Came back and picked up a girls laptop to be fixed…She accidentally stuck her finger in the plug while pulling it out and zapped herself…I attended the ITSA meeting and took a bunch of notes…Complained that I still wasn’t able to upload the minutes…Found out that there was no website to upload to because the server was messed up big time…oops…Came back to the room…Ate some pizza with the neighbors…Chilled some more in the room…Kinda bored…Kinda sleepy.

Yeah, that’s my night in a nutshell!

The weekend is almost here.  What to do what to do.  It you got’s any ideas lets me know!

OK, that’s enough for now!

I’ve Been Lagging I know!

Sunday Night - Two letters “DD” - No not designated driver or dungeons and dragons or Dynamic Duo (Word to the Clubb!).  DD means Dumpster       Diving.  And on Sundays it means GOOD dumpster diving.  Why you ask?  Well that’s when the upper class neighborhoods have garbage day.  The Neil and the Jake have gone many more times than I but I was not the newb on this trip.  That title goes to  the Eric!  After about 5 minutes of searching he couldnt handle the excitement of going DDing for the first time and jumped out of the car to grab a hammock.  That’s right, a full size hammock.  After pulling it from the garbage can and throwing it in the car  he jumped back in and quickly realized that the hammock wreaked!  We explained to Eric the concept of Premature Acquisition  and moved on to bigger and better things.  Our next stop was at the sight of a possible PC.  As I jumped out to investigate Eric had had enough of the stink and through the hammock on their pile of garbage.  Turns out there was nothing there but the  case.  We did get rid of the stinky hammock though so the stop was not a complete bust.  Because it seems like this is getting    way too long I’ll sum up the rest quickly.  The following were also acquired on the night of the 24th: a bread machine, a BetaMax, a grill, a slightly used and abused scooter, and a pumpin.  The pumpkin was later thrown out of the window while  driving down a quiet street.  Much fun was had and much junk hauled back for further inspection!

Monday - Not so much.  Just a case of the Monday’s.  Kinda boring but it’s over!

Tuesday - Rather interesting day all in all.  Interesting business meeting as well.  Yay for the dating game!

Wednesday - So I’ve suddenly lost the motivation to type the rest of this.  So I will shorten it a lot!  Interview with CC this morning, went well,  will most likely turn down the offer even if they give it to me.  After that there were some classes to tend to until 3.   Dinner with Bill and Karen at 4.  Soccer game at 5:55 which we consequently lost (5-2).  And what else.  I think that’s about it!

Random Thought (Obvious)

Life is a crazy fucked up thing.  Just a huge series of decisions, one after the other.  Most of them are rather easy to make.  The ones that aren’t easy to make are the worst though.  There really is no middle ground.
