Not soon enough…

Just under 2.5 days left of my stay here in Watterson.  This is a very exciting time.  The end of RA life will be a nice change and I will be moving out of the residence halls finally and into my own apartment with three dorky guys.   Although last summer was great I have a feeling that this summer will be even better.  For once I’m not going home.  I get to spend all summer down here with a hand full of friends that will be living here as well as another hand full that will come and go throughout.   I will be working full time this summer just like the past two summers but for once I won’t have to work in the hot summer sun.  I’ll have a nice desk and AC to enjoy.   My first real job.  That’s exciting and also pretty damn scary at the same time.   With my new spiffy job will come a spiffy pay check.  It sounds exciting but I have to pay rent 10 more times, and there will be car insurance and food.  I have to make my own food.  That’s neat.  Car insurance also went down significantly.  That’s neat too.   I don’t really get to go on vacation this year but I’m sure much fun will be had on the weekends.  There will be paintballing and dumpster diving, I will see the Eric Clubb perform in one of his last shows, I will make a few trips home I’m sure.  I will also have a birthday.  Happy early Birthday to me.   Goals for the summer: maybe start learning the piano, work on Keippel Family Website, and learn some new stuff at work.  I will probably rollerblade around town a lot.  I love the Constitution Trail.  Maybe it’s cause I like to watch people.  On the trail you’ll see little kids riding their bikes with their familys, college students out for a run, and senior citizens just out for a walk together to enjoy the outdoors.  I just rollerblade along and take it all in while listening to my music.  I might buy an mp3 player this summer.  I’ve kind of always wanted one but they just seem over priced and none are made for me. I may break down and just pick one and deal with it though.  Who knows.  Well I think that’s enough for now.  I don’t think my countdown is really going to work anymore because I got so behind.  I guess we’ll just have to see if I’m motivated enough to catch up.

March to the End!

OK, so here’s the deal! At noon today there were exactly 6 days left until Watterson is closed.  Until the end I will be updating with some zany story or anectdote about my final days as an RA.  Sunday when I’m offically done with this job (midnight central time) will be the end of my little countdown as well as the end to another countdown.  Some may know what the second countdown is and see the pattern here but if not it’s really not a big deal.  This won’t be the first time this will have been done and it surely won’t be the last!  So much has happened since I last updated I really don’t know what my first zany story should be…..

Here’s a random conversation…

Yeah, that’s all I got.  It’s almost midnight and I have to get this dated the 9th so I’m done for now.  I’ll think of something better tomorrow I promise!
